Do you make a lot of art based on music or lyrics? I do, which is why I joined...
It's a new group with a lot of potential, I know how many folk out there are inspired by music. I certainly intend to continue making such works. My inspiration is pretty dead recently, and I'm kept so busy with DVD cover jobs that I have pretty much zero time for personal works, which is tragic because I used to pop out art like an obsessive compulsive. But I hope to get those done very soon, so I can get back in my usual swing of things. (Hearing an extraordinary song, turning it into a picture, posting, repeat.)
I'm digging the new groups system. It's SO SO SO much less convoluted and frustrating and messy than before. I need to get the TDK Joker club converted to a Group, but I'm so busy.
I can't believe it's almost Christmas already, kinda sad because I miss summer and Revenge of the Fallen and going to the drive-in and wandering around town in Daisy Dukes with my camera. But right now it's 26 degrees (last night it got down to -11!) with a severe winter storm warning. And I'm totally high on Christmas. I worried I'd never get in the mood for it, because in recent years I've tended to get in the mood around Halloween, then when it actually comes time, I'm not enthusiastic. But no! For once I'm totally stoked. It doesn't really have the same magic since I stopped believing in Santa (I wish I still did... I know some folk my age who do) but there are still certain things that remind me of when I was a kid and it was this huge mysterious sugar-coated thing. I totally Buddy the Elf'd my room yesterday, taking all the garland in the house and stringing it from my ceiling. And my 5-foot tree is so heavily decorated with all our prettiest vintage and fragile ornaments, that it makes the 9-foot tree downstairs look like Charlie Brown's tree. [link]
Here are some jaw-droppingly stunning Decembery images I've collected over the past couple months. Every single shot holds me riveted for ages when I look at them. They all deserve a lot more love, so take a minute to open each and appreciate its amazingness! Their entire galleries are worth a look as well.
And these are just photos that make me think of December in general. In a couple weeks I'll be having a big all-Christmas feature over on my photog account!
It doesn't seem like October could be over already. It still feels like 2009 should still be a new year, yet it's almost over. They pass so alarmingly fast. I'm going to have a hard time saying goodbye to the best year of my life. But November has some good things, too. I'm moving for the first time in over a decade, to a fabulous 123-year-old house in the country, in a couple weeks. Changes can be good, but they make me sad in a way. Here are some perfectly Novembery captures I've found that I simply must feature for the month.
October and the trees are stripped bare of all they wear What do I care
October and kingdoms rise and kingdoms fall But you go on
It's getting later into autumn now and my discoveries in the depths of dA search are getting better and more jaw-dropping! Here are a few astounding Octobery photos I've found recently. I highly recommend you open each and view in its full-size amazingness!
